Description

This genus consists of 80 species of annuals and perennials including a number of popular garden plants. The flowerheads are borne on slender stems in the summertime; they will grow in shades of gold or yellow and some are bicoloured. The leaves will vary from simple, narrow to deeply divided. They are fully to frost hardy, and will need full sun with fertile, well drained soil. You can propagate the annuals by seeds in the spring.
