Description

This genus has about 30 species of annuals, perennials and biennials, The perennials will grow better in cool-temperate climates. The plants will bloom for a very long season from summer until the first frosts. The flowers are daisy-like they are colourful addition to the flowering borders and meadow garden, they are also very good for cut flowers. They are fully to frost hardy and will require a sunny position and will prefer well drained soil, they may need staking. You can propagate the species by seeds in the autumn or spring, selected forms by root cuttings in the winter.
