Description

There are about 25 species, They are small, globular or short columnar plants, that have many ribs that are divided into tubercles. The flowers are medium sized and colourful, in shades of pink, red, orange, yellow or lemon they are usually clustered at the top of the plant. They are Frost tender, min 8C and require full sun, very well drained soil. Propagation is by seed in the spring or summer.
