Description

A herbaceous perennial from Spain with basal leathery, grey-green and silver veined leaves. Umbels of flower spikes rise up to 75cm and bear profuse blue-purple flowers surrounded by silvery spiny bracts. ‘Othello’ is a compact form producing shorter flowers on strong, thick stems.

Eryngium bourgatii `Picos Amethyst` - The showy spine-tipped bracts of the infloresceces of ‘Picos Amethyst' make it a dramatic inclusion to any planting scheme. Deep amethyst-blue flowers show above dark green, marbled foliage on a neat and compact habit.
