Description

This genus consists of, twining climbers with about 200 species. They will bear clusters of scented star-shaped flowers in the summer. They are frost tender, min 5-18C. Grow them in humus-rich, well drained soil with semi-shade in the summer. Remember to water moderately when in full growth, and sparingly at other times. The stems might require support, so cut them back and thin out the crowded stems after flowering or in spring. Propagation is by semi-ripe cuttings in the summer.
