Description

This genus includes about 80 species of deciduous shrubs or evergreen root climbers. The flower heads will usually consists of masses of small inconspicuous fertile flowers. They are fully to frost hardy and will prefer sun or semi-shade with fertile, moist but well drained soil. They will require more shade in dry areas. You can propagate by softwood cuttings in the summer. All parts of the hydrangea may cause mild stomach upset if ingested and contact with the foliage may aggravate skin allergies.
